Adult Ministry at CBC exists to create healthy environments in which adults can connect for the purpose of Loving God, Loving Others, and Reaching Out. At CBC we meet in Life Groups made up of everyday people who want to enjoy real friendships and help each other grow.
We intend these groups to function like a safe and loving family. It is a place to experience shared meals, vital discussions, Bible-based learning, and personal prayer in a giving and relaxed atmosphere. Groups vary in size, location, longevity, and personality. These unique group profiles will provide room for personal preferences and God’s guidance. (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25; John 13:34-35)
Why should I participate in a Life Group?
Attending a church worship service is vitally important, but to gain a full sense of God's blessing and growth in your life, you have to be intimately connected with others. The Bible tells us that we must love each other and you can't do that from a distance - you have to get up close and personal! A few benefits of getting connected to a Life Group include:
- A relaxed, relational time.
- Significant conversations about real life.
- Opportunities to contribute to the lives of others.
- A safe and challenging place to grow spiritually.
- A better understanding and application of the Bible.
- A place to belong and share the real you.
- A place to develop your heart and skills to lead and serve others.
Where do Life Groups meet?
Life Groups meet in a variety of locations. They meet at the church building, in homes, and around our communities. A Life Group basically meets in any space that creates a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Even a local restaurant or cafe, a neighborhood community room, workplace, or bookstore can work. The locations can be creative and diverse because our people are creative and diverse - it's not about location, its about connection and growth!
